What Alignment Really Means | Summer of Coherence Day 16
Welcome to Day 16 of Alignment is an Inside Job: The Summer of Coherence — a 3-month experiment I began on the Summer Solstice with the intention of living in deeper alignment with my soul’s purpose, my life path, and the most fulfilling version of my life. Each day, I am practicing head-heart coherence and consciously noticing what feels aligned, where my energy is going, what is shifting, and what is asking to be seen. Today’s field note is about returning to your own frame. A few days ago, I felt a wobble. I felt a little lost, and it reminded me of a powerful moment several years ago when I felt like I was fully in my own frame for the first time. That memory became a reminder. A wobble does not mean the work is gone. Sometimes the desire to return is evidence that a new pattern has already integrated. Today’s coherence lesson is: Coherence is not constancy. Coherence is returning to my own breath, my own truth, and my own frame. Alignment is not about being perfectly clear, positive, productive, or strong every day. It is about returning to what is true. For me, that means returning to more silence, more stillness, listening to my breath, moving my body, walking in nature, limiting content consumption, asking what I might be trying not to feel, and taking aligned action without forcing. Take a slow breath in. And exhale. Then ask: Where am I outside of my own frame? What noise do I need to turn down? What might I be trying not to feel? What would help me return to my breath, my body, and my truth? Let the answer be simple. Maybe you need silence, movement, a walk, less content or to feel something honestly. =================== Today’s Mini Experiment Choose one way to return to your own frame today. One return. Take a walk without listening to anything. Sit in silence for five minutes. Move your body. Put your feet on the earth. Journal one honest sentence. Limit content consumption. Take one aligned action.
