It was the stories you can tell. In this video I want to discuss the mental preparation that has to happen in order to tell a musical story. When you join a musical conversation you have to blend in. One way you can do this, is not to start with the volume on ten. Land your phrases on the strong notes, the chord tones. Gradually add more colorful notes. Introduce a "character" by using a motif and develop it.
