500 km przez pustynię - The Speed Project | Podcast Bieganie.pl

The Speed Project is an unsanctioned race from Los Angeles, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada. The race has a start and finish line – the exact route is determined by each team, and the rules are kept to a minimum. You can run solo or with as many people as you like, but regardless of the route or your teammates, you'll experience thousands of meters of elevation gain, desert heat, sand and wind in your eyes, unannounced dangers, and ultimately, unforgettable memories. In the latest Bieganie.pl podcast, Maciej Wójcik talks with Karol Klepacki and Marek Ogniem about their experiences during this year's The Speed Project. Karol Klepacki is one of the founding fathers of the most recognizable running team in Poland – SWORDS athletics – and is also a co-organizer of the unofficial Border to Hel running challenge – an event that was modeled after TSP from the outset. Marek Ogień is one of the best sports, lifestyle, and fashion photographers in Poland. You probably don't realize that when you browse photos on the adidas or Runners of Warsaw profiles, or buy products from various brands, you're seeing his work. He's also a romantic, yet fast and determined amateur runner. In the podcast, guests share stories from The Speed Project and Border to Hel. We discuss why it took them so long to realize their dream of running the TSP, the fire that almost stopped them, the bike they paid for twice, how to choose a team for such a crazy challenge, how much it costs, and we also touch on remaining authentic when creating content, events, and communities.
