La (vera) soluzione della parabola degli 11 cammelli (26)

Some time ago, I came across an old story about a father who owns eleven camels and, upon his death, leaves them to his three sons. He specifies in his will that the eldest son should receive half the camels, the second son a quarter, and the third son a sixth. When it comes to actually dividing the inheritance, a scuffle ensues, which is magically resolved by the judge (or a passing camel driver, depending on the version of the story) with the "gift" of an additional camel, which is then "magically" returned to him at the end of the division. Some use this curious (and somewhat surprising) story to argue that the gift "unlocks the justice blocked by greed." But is this really the case?
