Ouderenfestival geeft start Avond4Daagse Bennekom extra sfeer — toch missen de klassiekers

Rain or shine: the Bennekom Evening Four-Day Walk kicked off on Tuesday, May 19. The first evening of walking immediately took on a special character. The participants walked through the Baron van Wassenaer Park, where the organizers, together with Opella, held a festival for the elderly for the first time this year. Along the route, violinists and Harmonie Heelsum provided extra atmosphere in a special waving zone. However, one thing stood out: the well-known Evening Four-Day Walk songs of yesteryear — such as Potje met vet and We zijn er bijna — were barely to be heard. The traditional sing-alongs seemed to be somewhat absent this year.
