Aerial fish stocking in Colorado (extended)-Grand Mesa, Maroon Bells-Snowmass & Flat Tops Wilderness

At the end of June 2022, Colorado Parks and Wildlife began its summer stocking program where it delivers cutthroat trout into high-elevation lakes. In these first two days of aerial stockings, 25 different lakes received nearly 55,000 cutthroats. Over 250,000 cutthroat trout will be airplanted into some 200+ alpine lakes across Colorado's Rocky Mountains this summer.
