During a focused enforcement activity on Highway 6 by officers of the Heavy Vehicle Unit in the Traffic Division, the only one of its kind in Israel, a focused activity was carried out yesterday against violations involving heavy vehicles. During the activity, officers from the unit carried out comprehensive inspections and weighings of heavy vehicles, wheel axle weights, and all using mobile and stationary scales. In addition, checks were carried out on the mechanical integrity of the heavy vehicles, unsecured loads, and required licensing documentation, all in order to ensure that heavy vehicles travel on the country's roads safely and do not endanger road users.
