Silvretta Hochalpenstraße | Eine Augenweide | BIKEPACKING: Tirol - Vorarlberg - Allgäu | Tag 3

In July, we were out on our bikes again. This time, the tour took us through Tyrol, Vorarlberg, and the Allgäu region, covering 580 km and 10,000 meters of elevation gain. On the third day of our tour, we start in Ischgl and cycle through the Paznaun Valley, past Galtür, up to the Bielerhöhe and the Silvretta Reservoir. We enjoy the view of the Silvrettahorn and Piz Buin, along with its glacier tongue. Due to a mudslide, we can't cycle down the rest of the Silvretta High Alpine Road, but instead have to pass the Kops Reservoir, which we don't regret. Here, we descend beautiful switchbacks until we reach the beautiful Montafon Valley and finally Schruns. Highlights await you throughout the tour through Tyrol, Vorarlberg, and the Allgäu region, including the Silvretta High Alpine Road, the Walsertal Valley, the Karwendel Mountains, the Isar River, views of the Zugspitze, the Claudia Augusta Cycle Path, and wonderful lakes.
