The TSMC insider leak case, after a first-instance verdict in the Intellectual Property and Commercial Court last April, found former TSMC engineer Chen Liming guilty of violating the National Security Act and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. Other accomplices, including Wu Bingjun, were also sentenced, and Tokyo Power was fined NT$150 million. However, print media learned today (April 21) that the court has received appeals from Chen Liming, Chen Weijie, and Lu Yiyin, while Tokyo Power has not appealed. It is confirmed that Tokyo Power will have to pay NT$100 million to TSMC and NT$50 million to the public treasury within one year of the verdict. The court has responded to this!
