My Trip To Japan: Part One - Sushi, Sumo and Samurai
Japan. A country that I’ve admired from afar for a very long time. Not just because a ton of the things that irritate me are socially unacceptable there (however that’s awesome) but because of 80s and 90s cartoons and movies. I grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons dubbed in English like Voltron and Dragonball Z as well as Japanese action and horror movies as I got older. As yes, American movies with Japanese influence like The Karate Kid helped too. Thanks to the talents of my incredible wife, I got the chance of a lifetime… to travel to Japan as a plus one. The only caveat was I would be left to my own devices for a few days while she finished working on the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Me wondering Japan alone without any responsible adult supervision?!
