High Wind at Joshua Tree: Tent Camping Gets Complicated

On the next episode of ‪@LightsCameraAngry‬, camping get REAL complicated. You know Joshua Tree National Park is named after a real faker. It’s true! The Joshua Tree isn’t even a tree! It’s actually a monocot containing a similar structure to grass. I mean the trunk doesn’t even have growth rings like a tree. Come on! Instead it’s made of thousands of slow growing fibers managing less than an inch of growth a year. Damn, that’s slow as hell. With that said, the desert is very climate friendly to the Joshua Tree. It turns out it’s far less climate friendly to this grumpy camper. What started as a delightful tent camping trip to Black Rock Canyon Campground in Joshua Tree National Park turned into a real wild time.
