Authentic Traditional Scottish Sausage Stovies (slow cooker recipe)

For tea tonight we are having an absolute Scottish Classic which is Stovies! If you’ve never heard of Stovies before, it’s a Scottish favourite based on potatoes and meat. Recipes and ingredients vary widely, but ALWAYS contains potatoes and onions, and also a meat element like sausages, beef, minced beef or other meat really. Traditional Scottish Stovies are absolutely delicious! This really is Comfort food at it's best. It's a simple one-pot dish, made on the stove-top, and I think that’s where the name comes from! _________________________________________________________________ Shopping List: 1.5 kg floury potatoes (such as Maris Piper or King Edwards 450g beef link sausages (which is about 5 or 6 links) 1 and a half pints of beef stock 2 medium carrots (rough small dice) 2 medium onions (sliced) _________________________________________________________________ Throw everything into a slow cooker (for about 6 hours) or a large pan on the stove top on low for about 2 hours :) _________________________________________________________________ Check out Michelle's channel on YouTube!
