In Chile, on September 11, 1973, the military pronouncement headed by General Augusto Pinochet against the socialist government of Salvador Allende took place. As a way of publicizing the nascent military dictatorship, the hymn "Alborada" which was scheduled through stations prone to new authorities in late 1973 and early 1974.
