I Visited Cyprus’ Former Luxury Resort Town (now abandoned)

In this video, I'll take you to Varosha, an abandoned neighborhood of Famagusta on the divided island of Cyprus and Europe’s largest ghost town. In the '70s, Varosha was one of the world's most popular tourist destinations, with many celebrities visiting every year. However, in 1974, a Greek-led military coup triggered the Turkish military to intervene in order to support Turkish Cypriots living on the island. Varosha's Greek inhabitants fled the city, and the former holiday resort town was locked off for almost 50 years. I decided to visit the infamous ghost town of Varosha and in this video will show you what's left of its former glory.
