Route de la Confession, Balony Road D211B, Dauphiné, France - by motorcycle

The D211B balcony road is located on the eastern escarpment of the Romanche River valley. Le Bourg d'Oisans, on the main road from Grenoble to Briançon, is the central town in this valley. Around this village, in the mountains of the Dauphiné Alps, there are some famous ski resorts (e.g. Alpe d'Huez and Deux Alpes). The D211B road turns west at Alpe d'Huez and then continues north towards Villard Reculas. The short but interesting road is only about 3.5 km long in total. The road is cut out of the rock and passes some overhangs. When two cars meet, one usually has to back up to the next passing place. Otherwise the road is easy to drive on. The road is located in the department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes / Isère and there in the Dauphiné Alps.
