Lungs on Fire Speaker Series 5: Masks
‘Lungs On Fire’ is a multi-investigator study funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, which aims to explore the long-term health effects of wildfire smoke and consider how to improve public health guidance. For the first instalment of the Lungs On Fire 2026 Speaker Series, we were pleased to host Dr. Stephanie Holm (pediatrician, occupational environmental medicine physician, and epidemiologist). In this video Dr. Holm explores the effectiveness of masks for reducing harms from wildfire smoke and other considerations.
