At the time, three people were reportedly in the home: the resident (53), his wife (46), and their child (4). (Victim) "If I had come face to face with the burglar, I might have been the victim." The man said he had taken security measures, including installing security cameras and subscribing to a security service. The key factor that prevented the burglary was a security door he installed at a cost of ¥400,000. This door automatically activates an electronic lock if an attempt to force the door from the outside is not made within 20 seconds, making it even more difficult to open. According to the police, Aichi Prefecture had 332 burglaries by the end of April this year, the highest number in the country. What kind of countermeasures are effective? We asked a locksmith.
