A person exited the car, behaving strangely, carrying a blue umbrella, perhaps to hide their face. It wasn't raining. After ringing the intercom and receiving no response, the suspicious person returned to their car. The suspicious person now had a crowbar in their hand... A minute later, the person with the blue umbrella reappeared. However, he was holding something resembling a crowbar. He then forcibly moved the security camera. In fact, the resident was home at the time. I saw the whole thing. (Male landlord) "The moment he brought the crowbar, (another family member who was at home) called 110. We didn't want them to come in, so we screamed while calling." The family member who was at home yelled, and the person with the blue umbrella left. (Male landlord) "There have been a series of robberies, so we were really scared of what they might do to us." This happened in broad daylight in a residential area with pedestrians and cars passing by. Was the suspicious person with his face hidden and carrying a crowbar intended to target this house? Similar suspicious individuals have been spotted in other areas of the city, and police are increasing their vigilance in preparation for burglaries and robberies. Amid an increase in illegal part-time robberies, the Aichi Prefectural Police held a crime prevention seminar using an actual home in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya. The first thing they asked people to check was whether the door could be pried open.
