Thirsting for God | Claudiu Lăpădat March 1, 2026 Holy Trinity Christian Church Timișoara (Strada Nera no. 2, Timișoara) Text: John 7:37-39 A thirsty person is someone who is eager, thirsty, eager, avid, ravenous. The life of a believer must be characterized by a continuous hunger for God. There is no man more deceived than the man who deceives himself. Verse 37: If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Thirst must not be for the works of God, for inner manifestations. Authentic thirst must only be for the person of Christ. I am the Word. I am the fulfillment of all things. John 4:11-14 Can we also have a spiritual thirst? We were all created with a heart that yearns for our Creator. Verse 38: He who believes in Me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Faith versus trust: Most people do not fail in faith, but in trust. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship. The only way you can benefit is from His heart to your heart. You are a manifestation of the divine will, in which God has put love. In order to fulfill your purpose, you must return to the one who created you! The Dry Heart - Why do we spiritually go to drink water from anywhere but from God? Verse 39: Living water is eternal life rooted in the triune God. The Son came to die, the Holy Spirit came to help, the Father planned everything. God is the fountain of living waters (Jeremiah 2:13). The water that God speaks of is living water (Revelation 21:6). God pours and fills, it is up to you if you want to drink. Have you drunk from the springs of the world so far? How far will it take you? Always after drinking the water of the world you will want more. Enough! There is the water of life that you are invited to drink from! This will lead you to an all-fulfilling, satisfying relationship, of all that the Holy Trinity means. The fullness of God through the Holy Spirit manifests itself through us in several types of work - rivers will flow, not just one river! Living water brings you to life - true life! You were created to overcome! God never destroys anyone. It is up to you if you go to connect your heart to what He has for you. Only in your hand is the decision to change things!
