ಸಾವಿತ್ರಮ್ಮ ದೂರದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಮೂಲದಿಂದ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರು ಟೀ- ಕಾಫಿ ಫ್ಲಾಸ್ಕ್ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಟೀ ಊಟ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸಿ, ಈ ತಳ್ಳುವ ಗಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸುಂದರ ಬದುಕಿನ ಕನಸುಗಳ ಮೂಟೆಗೆ ದಿನನಿತ್ಯ 18 ಗಂಟೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಓದಿಸಿ ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಸೆ ಇದೆ.ಸಾವಿತ್ರಮ್ಮನ ಈ ಆಸೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಈಡೇರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಬದುಕಿನ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತದೆ.
