Painting a Japanese Garden with Hard Edges (Full Process)

In today's video, I share the full creation process of my latest painting, "Japanese Garden ." This piece is deeply inspired by a serene Japanese garden I visited during my travels in the summer of 2025. I wanted to reinterpret the traditional, lush landscape using a modern, geometric lens. I used a flat and hard-edge painting language, stripping away complexity to focus on the pure harmony of shape and color—especially the contrasting greens of the trees and the turquoise shape representing the water. If you are interested in abstracting nature and exploring flat color palettes, I hope you find this demonstration inspiring.
