MASSIVE & SCENIC 2014 Toshiba Traction SkyLobby Elevators at Abeno Harukas in Osaka, Japan

Filmed on June 30th, 2025. Here's the first of several elevators I rode in Osaka's Tallest Building, which was actually the tallest in Japan from 2014 to 2023! Occupying the first few floors of this building is a Department Store, and on the upper floors Offices, a Marriott Hotel and a Observatory on floors 58-60! These elevators serve the SkyLobbies bypassing the Department Store floors, with stops in the office section, observatory entrance and the lobby for the Marriott respectively. There's a total of 8 elevators in this glass enclosed shaft elevator bank, 6 of which are MASSIVE and are totally glass and offers EXCELLENT Views of the City of Osaka, and 2 which are significantly smaller and go directly to the lobby of the Marriott. Due to time being limited, I didn't film the 2 Marriott SkyLobby cars, but I got multiple rides on the glass elevators, which again are ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE, Very Fast & Efficient given the size of the building and that they're the only SkyLobby Elevators, and despite the fact these elevators were installed in 2014, these look SO MODERN & FUTURISTIC to the point that if you told me this was a 2025 installation, I would totally believe you. The touch sensitive buttons are super futuristic looking too, and you gotta love how they can still be installed in Japan thanks to there being no ADA laws banning them. Just like most Japanese Traction Elevators, these are also BUTTER SMOOTH too and I can't really think of anything to complain about here. I LOVE the chimes and voices too! This building was very much worth the stop, and is both a tourist attraction and a place with cool elevators that I'd definitely recommend when in Osaka. Installed in 2014.
