The Gibb River Road is one of those places that feels bigger, wilder and more remote than you can ever fully prepare yourself for. Rough tracks, creek crossings, endless red dirt and some of the most incredible landscapes we’ve ever seen… this part of the Kimberley instantly reminded us why so many travellers dream about experiencing the Gibb for themselves. In this episode, we settle in at Mount Hart Station and spend a few days exploring the surrounding gorges, waterholes and remote Kimberley landscapes, taking on the rough roads and swims that make this region unlike anywhere else in Australia. But somewhere along the way, this trip became something far more personal than just another outback adventure. Out here in the middle of the Kimberley, surrounded by one of the most incredible landscapes we’ve ever experienced together, I decided it was finally time to ask Jess one of the biggest questions of our lives. It was a moment neither of us will ever forget… and honestly, there probably couldn’t have been a more fitting place for it to happen than out here on the Gibb River Road.
