Vectors 3D Ex Problem Forces along Cables and Dot Product
This is a 3D vector example problem with force vectors acting along cables. We write line vectors along the cables, convert them to unit vectors, and use these to write the two force vectors. These are summed to a resultant force. The dot product is used to determine the angle between the two cables and to determine the component of one of the forces along the other cable. We use the TI nSpire calculator to make the calculations much easier.
