ARIEL BUILD part 3 testing the engine

I got the crankshaft back from Conway Motors this morning, and started on the assembly of the engine so I could test it before adding the finishing touches to the rest of the bike, like the down pipe and silencer, and a primary chaincase that doesn't leak all over the back wheel. If you just want to see it fire up, skip to 23:29 UPDATE......... After putting 3700 miles on this engine in the W/NG testbed, I have now installed it in a 1955 swinging arm frame, and returned the original engine to the W/NG. The swinging arm project can be found in a mini series starting here.    • 1955 Ariel Red Hunter 500 build  Part 1
