Fakeaway Chinese Chicken Curry That Will Give You Goosebumps

Another emotional video this week as I recount some of the most visceral memories of my childhood. Don't worry, I didn't go on Jim'll Fix it or anything like that. I'm just sharing some memories from back in the day that gave me goosebumps and made me cry a bit. You might feel that way after sampling this sensational Chinese Takeaway style recipe because it's so good, so enough of all my nonsense - here's the full recipe. Chinese Takeaway Style Chicken Curry (Serves 2): 300g chicken breast marinated in - 1 tbsp soy sauce Good pinch of salt and MSG Pinch pepper Half a tsp curry powder and chicken stock powder Heaped tsp corn starch with a tbsp water Splash of neutral oil Curry sauce: 1 coarsely chopped medium onion 25g butter 250ml chicken stock Generous half a tsp curry powder and turmeric Generous 1 and a half tsps Chinese five spice A quarter of a tsp each of cumin and ginger powder Three quarters of a tsp salt Pinch pepper Half a tsp MSG Half a tsp chilli powder Generous half a tsp garlic powder 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp vinegar 1 tbsp soy sauce 2-3 cloves of minced garlic 50g coconut milk 25g cornstarch stirred well into 50ml water Add water to thin out Frozen peas Finish with a good glug of sesame oil and chilli flakes if you like.
