Our Beautiful Newell Coach Had A Fire. We Are Blessed It Wasn't Worse.

When disaster strikes on the road, it’s every RV owner’s worst nightmare—and for us, it became reality. While we were away performing at an RV resort in Texas, our beautifully restored 1993 Newell Coach—our home on wheels—caught fire. Thankfully, quick-thinking neighbors spotted the flames early and stepped in to partially extinguish the fire before the fire department arrived. Their fast action likely saved our luxury diesel motorcoach from becoming a total loss. In this video, we share the full story of this RV fire emergency, including the terrifying moment we learned our beloved dog Autumn was trapped inside. In an incredible act of bravery, a firefighter climbed through an unlocked window, rescued Autumn, and opened up the coach to release the smoke. We are beyond grateful—and deeply aware of how much worse this could have been.
