We entered Venezuela with one goal: reach Colombia as quickly as possible. A country where the president had been captured just two weeks earlier and political tensions were running high... wasn't a place where we wanted to stay any longer than necessary. At least... that was the plan. Because the further we traveled through Venezuela, the more this country got to us. Not because of its beaches. Not because of its wildlife.
