Jusuf Kalla Dorong Muhammadiyah Kuatkan Semangat Entrepreneur di Milad ke-113

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANDUNG – Former Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) attended and delivered a testimonial speech at Muhammadiyah's 113th anniversary at Muhammadiyah University Bandung (UMB) on Tuesday (11/18). In his speech, JK highlighted the importance of Muhammadiyah's role in education and welfare, and urged the organization to strengthen the spirit of entrepreneurship among its members. JK began by sharing his personal story as a follower of wasatiyah (moderation). He explained that he came from a diverse background, with his father being the treasurer of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and his mother being the treasurer of 'Aisyiyah. This experience shaped him to be active everywhere, especially in Muhammadiyah, as it offered "more activities." He congratulated Muhammadiyah on its 113th anniversary, an extraordinary achievement, as not many organizations reach that age, perhaps even in just 20 or 30 years. Furthermore, JK praised Muhammadiyah's rapid progress and even called it one of the "richest religious organizations in the world." He recounted his experience of being invited to participate in a study on Muhammadiyah's assets, but the vastness of Muhammadiyah's assets made it difficult to calculate.
