Let me say this. I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. We found out the red bands in the rock formations are iron rust deposits. There are a lot of small cave openings. And yes I think critters probably live in them. There's long horn sheep, bison, prairie dogs and others. We didn't see any.
