Popular actor Hiroki Suzuki (33), known for his stage appearances in "Touken Ranbu" and other productions, appeared at a preview screening and talk event for WOWOW's original drama "Mushigoro no Kazoku" (Insect Cage Lock) held in Tokyo on February 9th. He attended alongside his co-star Sho Kiyohara (26) and WOWOW producer Saki Iiboshi. Kiyohara revealed, "Hiroki is older than me, but at first I thought we were close in age, and was surprised to hear he's seven years older than me." Director Toyoshima teased, "Hiroki is 40!" Suzuki immediately retorted, "Please wait a little longer (to find out about his age)." The drama is an original story by author Narita Ryogo, known for popular light novels such as "Baccano!" and "Durarara!!," and is the first in the planned media mix project "Mushigake no Kazoku" project. It is a suspense drama in which the clumsy but powerful Kagoroku (Suzuki) and Nanami (Kiyohara), who uses her mouth to navigate the underworld, team up to solve various cases. It will be broadcast on WOWOW Live every Friday at 10pm from March 22nd. There are eight episodes planned, with the first episode being free to air.
