Gateway Cup Benton Park....CRASH

Gateway Cup 2024 – Day 4 Benton Park Today was not how I imagined my 2023 ending, with 2 crashes, but that’s how it did. The crit course is a technical 10 corner criterium at 1.7 miles in length and concludes the Gateway Cup Series. The first crash occurs at 8:30 of the video. I attempted to rejoin the race after this crash. I have to send appreciation to Charon for stopping and checking on me after the second crash, it was a violent fall, and I will not forget his kindness. The second crash occurs at 13:55 of the video. This is the crash that took me out of the race and ended my day. It broke my bike, helmet, shoe, shifter, handlebars, and covered the left side of my body with road rash. Despite this end to Gateway Cup and my 2023 season, I had a great year, took another step forward racing at the highest level and am looking forward to an offseason before starting again in 2024.
