LEOPARD vs COUGAR - Who Wins?

Watch to the end to find out :) The African leopard is the smallest of the big cats, but that doesn't mean it should be underrated. The leopard is pound-for-pound the strongest big cat, and yes, that's even including tigers and lions. African leopards inhabit the savannas and woodlands of Subsaharan Africa. They compete against lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and crocodiles for food. Some leopards even inhabit the rainforests where gorillas live. And, surprisingly, leopards and gorillas have been known to interact with one another. However, leopards hunt young or sick gorillas rather than healthy silverback gorillas. So, how big are these big cats? A typical male African leopard weighs in around 128 pounds and stands about 2 feet tall. African leopards are hyper carnivores and hunt warthogs, antelopes, porcupines, and basically whatever they can get their paws around. The North American Cougar; it goes by many names (pumas, mountain lions, panthers). The cougar inhabits western North America and a small part in Florida. They favor coniferous forests and swamplands, however, they can be found in a wide variety of environments such as the Alaskan wilderness and Yellowstone National Park. Cougars surprisingly have a weight advantage against the leopards. A typical male cougar weighs in around 140 pounds, and stands around 2.5 feet tall. Cougars hunt deer, elk, mountain goats, and sheep. They compete against bears (Grizzly bears and Black bears), and wolves for food. Although rare, confrontations between cougars, wolves, black bears, and grizzly bears have led to fights. #animals #wildlife #cats
