Greater Noida woman found dead after alleged dowry harassment, husband & father-in-law arrested

A grim incident has come to light from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where a 24-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the roof of her residence. According to the local police, the incident took place following a domestic dispute. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her severe injuries during treatment. Following the tragedy, the deceased woman's family has filed a formal police complaint, leveling serious allegations of continuous mental and physical torture over dowry demands against her husband and in-laws. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the Gautam Buddha Nagar police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including dowry death and cruelty.
