Enid Blyton's Secret Seven Mystery - read by the versatile Roy Castle. Book 9 of the original Secret 7 series. The Seven are hunting for a girl that has ran away from home. And they use their ingenuity to follow all the clue. Jack's naught sister, Susie, plays her usual tricks on the Seven, but in spite of her, their quest has a happy ending. I had this tape as a child and enjoyed this telling of the story. It is abridged by Sue Dawson with a 45 minute running time, but the story still develops well. Recorded/released by Pickwick Worldwide originally in 1981; this copy is from a 1986 release under Ditto Brand, Pickwick Ditto Cassette Packs. This is shared from a recording of a cassette tape, so lots of old-fashioned tape noises and hiss, but still very listenable and an enjoyable telling for childhood nostalgia or for a new generation of listeners that can make pictures in the mind.
