Hello everyone! We left Singapore with a mix of sadness and joy, a country we certainly enjoyed more than we expected, but with the excitement of exploring the next destination: Malaysia. We started with its most historically significant city, Malacca. Full of the contrasts of its cultures and religions, unique cuisine, and the friendliness of its people, we won't keep you waiting any longer, let's get started! TODAY'S ITINERARY: -Wake up in Singapore. -Order a Grab to the 707 Inc Bus Terminal. -Travel by coach from the station to Malacca. -Check in at the hotel. -Start our tour with a stroll along Harmony Street. -Visit the Xiang Lin Si Temple. -Continue with the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, just a few meters away. -See Kampung Kling Mosque, a beautiful mosque very close to the previous stop. -We stopped at the entrance of Sri Poyyatha Vinayaga Moorthy, which was closed. -We continued on to Dutch Square (Red Square), and were amazed by the contrast with the rest of the city. -Inside the square we found: -Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower -Stadthuys (The History and Ethnography Museum), which, despite being a museum today, was the former seat of the Dutch government. -Queen Victoria's Fountain, built in honor of Queen Victoria. -Upon arriving at the Church of St. Francis Xavier, we saw that it was under renovation and we couldn't go inside, but we enjoyed its impressive facade. -We walked to A Famosa, a Portuguese fort, one of the last remaining vestiges of that country in Malacca. -We climbed up to St. Paul's Church and enjoyed both the visit to the church ruins and the breathtaking views of the city. -We visited the spectacular Masjid Selat mosque, in a unique setting that makes it even more breathtaking. -In the evening, we went to the main reason for visiting Malacca on a weekend: Jonker Walk! A huge night market with incredibly high-quality food from all over Asia—a dream! -Back to the iHotel Puri Melaka after devouring the market and resting until the next day. That's all for now.
