Exploring Malacca - Malaysia’s Most Charming Historic Town

On day 43, we took a 2 hour bus ride from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca and checked into our new hotel, The Sunday Malacca. After settling in, we walked out to explore our new area and stumbled into a mall where we had dinner at Rock Bottom. Malacca sure is a beauty once it gets dark. On day 44, we found our new favorite cafe called The Daily Fix on Jonker Street, which was perfect to walk out afterwards and explore it further. After taking the afternoon to edit and relax, we went back to the streets in search of dinner that wasn't up to expectations and lessons were learned. Jake ended the night with a classic ice cream cone. On day 45, we started our day yet again with The Daily Fix before heading back to the hotel for another restful work afternoon. Once in the mood for dinner, we decided to head back to The Daily Fix AGAIN to try their dinner and ended the rest of the night on the Jonker Walk to enjoy the weekend night market. Rather than ice cream, Jake opted for a frozen Coke and nutella waffle. On day 46, we found a new cafe to check out called the 175 Gallery Cafe which was a true hidden gem. We decided to take another rest day in the hotel before walking back out for dinner and exploring a different side of Malacca, Little India, nearly walking to our next hotel (for tomorrow) without realizing... It was a different experience than Jonker Walk and we were happy to stumble across it witnessing a fantastic young violinist, the bright lights, and booming atmosphere. We got a chicken quesadilla to end the night. #malacca #malaysia #backpacking #southeastasia #travelvlog #melaka
