Funicular! UK's Oldest Cliff Lift: Scarborough History... Funicular Railway

Funiculars are fun and in Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast there is the oldest cliff lift funicular railway in the country. Transporting thousands of people each year the funicular was opened in 1875 a feat of superb Victorian engineering. Scarborough was the country's first ever seaside resort.
