Mechanical Fuel Injection - Street Vs. Race And What Makes Them Tick

The original high performance mechanical fuel injection systems evolved back in the 1940s because racers wanted to use fuels like alcohol and nitromethane and the Carburetors of the day weren't capable of flowing the kind of volume these fuels required. Since then, the systems and components have evolved but their key elements and functions are still the same today Here we use the fuel system on our project Top Fueler to explain the key differences between street oriented mechanical fuel injection systems for both Diesel and Gas, and ones that are race only and intended to flow high volume fuels like alky and nitro. Here we get into pumps, barrel valves, nozzles, fuel shutoffs, check valves and bypasses and how initial adjustments are made. #diy #engines #dragracing MERCHANDISE Get Your UTG T-Shirts Here: https://uncletonysgarage.com/product/...
