East Midlands Trains Meridian On-board - Liverpool South Parkway to Manchester Piccadilly

Something a little different from me for this one. On the 11th April 2015, the Royal Ascot/Grand National was having the race day. Due to the popularity of the event, East Midlands Trains substituted the usual Class 158's for Meridian Class 222's. Four trains were laid on and ran from Nottingham to Liverpool Lime Street. This video was filmed on-board the last special of the day, the 1L17 1852 Liverpool Lime Street to Nottingham. All four trains were de-classified so I got the rare opportunity of a first class ride. For this video, I got off at Liverpool South Parkway having done the service to Liverpool Lime Street. First of all, we see EMT Meridian 222 006 arrive into Platform 4 where I board the train. Then we see us head past Allerton Depot where Northern's latest 319's are based. We then see us make stops at Widnes, Warrington Central and Manchester Oxford Road, before heading into Manchester Piccadilly, where we then see the Meridian Depart.
