I Made Chrome Trim for My Diecast Corvette - Show Car Result

Today we’re restoring this vintage Yatming 1957 Corvette and bringing it back from the dead 😄 This little Corvette started out missing most of its original wraparound bumpers, had a broken front suspension, rough paint, damaged trim, and years of wear… but underneath all that crust was actually a really beautiful little casting. For this restoration we rebuilt the missing front and rear bumpers from styrene by hand, repaired the grille damage, filled old mounting holes using the baking soda super glue trick, restored the suspension, polished and refinished the body, recreated the chrome trim, added fresh details, and brought the whole thing back to life with deep glossy red paint and fresh clear coat. Honestly, this one surprised me. Once the chrome trim and rebuilt bumpers went on, it suddenly started looking like a proper tiny 1957 Corvette again 😄 Definitely one of the coolest vintage Yatming restorations we’ve done lately. 0:06 – Restoring a 1957 Yatming Corvette 😄 0:38 – Rebuilding the Missing Wraparound Bumpers 1:45 – Discovering the Broken Front Suspension 2:27 – Fabricating New Bumpers From Styrene 3:59 – Using the Baking Soda Super Glue Trick 5:18 – The Corvette Finally Starts Taking Shape 9:22 – Masking & Spraying the Chrome Trim 12:17 – Final 1957 Corvette Reveal FOLLOW THE ADVENTURES 🎥 Northern Gold (Prospecting Channel) YouTube: @NGProspecting 📍 Northern Gold Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 🚗 Diecast Resurrection Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... #hotwheels #hotwheelscustoms #diecast #diecastcars #customdiecast
