A hearty, flavorful family dish with a rich, flavorful sauce, tender chicken, olives, preserved lemon… and of course, homemade fries, which are an essential part of the experience. In this video, I'll show you all the steps to make a delicious tagine, with a simple marinade, gentle cooking, and a few tips for a wonderfully fragrant sauce. Chicken, Olive, and Lemon Tagine 🇩🇿 Ingredients 👨🏻🍳 For the marinade: 1 kg chicken drumsticks 1 onion 3 cloves garlic Parsley and cilantro The flesh of 1 preserved lemon 1 tbsp olive oil A little lemon juice 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp turmeric Salt Pepper Saffron-infused water For cooking: 1 large onion 200 g green olives A little lemon juice Slices of preserved lemon Homemade fries Parsley or cilantro Tips: Infuse the saffron threads for 10 to 15 minutes in a little hot water before adding them to the marinade. Boil the olives for a few minutes before adding them to the tagine to remove some of the salt and bitterness.
