Sweden road trip with dog & roof tent: 6,500 km in 20 days through the wild nature of Sweden. Under the motto "With dog & roof tent to the Arctic Circle," I'm starting this new video series, in which I'll take you on my road trip through Sweden. At the end of August 2023, I set off on my first big trip to Sweden with my dog ​​"Lou" and the new Qeedo Freedom Compact roof tent, heading for "Vildmarksvägen," the wilderness road in southern Lapland, but there was still a long way to go. First, there was the 14-hour ferry ride from Kiel to Gothenburg. Well rested, I headed straight to Tresticklan National Park in Sweden, which gave me a first taste of the stunning nature that lay ahead. The next day started with a beautiful view from the roof tent over a lake. After our first coffee, we headed straight to a nearby lost place and then to a waterfall, which certainly wouldn't be the last on this tour :-) The weather gods were kind to us, and after a rainy night in the roof tent, we were able to set off dry-footed the next morning on the road to Fulufjället National Park. At 93 meters, the Njupeskär waterfall is one of the highest in all of Sweden. After a few kilometers on gravel roads, I finally found my campsite in the middle of nature and was able to reflect on my first few days in Sweden around a small campfire.
