CRECCOM Corner - Episode 13

This week, we travelled to Kachinjika Village in Traditional Authority Ganya, Ntcheu, where we interacted with members of the Hope Youth Club under the Green Jobs for Adolescents and Youth Project (GJ4AY) implemented with funding from Save the Children Italia. Through the project, CRECCOM strengthened youth-led awareness and behaviour change communication through Theatre for Development (TfD). In 2025, a total of 72 youth clubs, including Hope Youth Club, were trained in TfD, equipping them with skills to facilitate community awareness and dialogue on development issues. As a result, 37 Theatre for Development performances were conducted across Ntcheu District, reaching 4,870 people (1,430 males and 3,440 females) with messages on social and development issues. The initiative continues to demonstrate the power of youth-led communication in promoting positive behaviour change and community development.
