Scafell Via Lords Rake West Wall Traverse Scafell Pike Via Mickledore col Climbing English Mountains

Climbing Scafell England's second highest mountain at 964 meters, Via Lords Rake and the West Wall Traverse. After summiting we descended and Climbed Scafell Pike the highest peak in England at 978 meters Via Mickledore col. Climbing Two big Lake District Mountains From Wasdale Head on the shores of Wastwater, England's deepest lake. The South western Fells around Wastwater seemed very reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands with their big elevations and the glaciated volcanic origin of the region. And proved a very tough but rewarding days hiking and Climbing for Skye and myself! Scafell (my favourite of the two peaks) an overshadowed and an often overlooked Mountain with no easy accent or decent route and very very quiet compared to the higher Scafell Pike should be on everyone's Lake District big Fell Menu!
