You falter to think that she is a Goddess now, seeing as some little buzzkill of a man just bit her, rendering her attempts at absorbing you into mysterious galaxies useless. Who bites a god? I mean really. “Oh, shut up you T.I.N.A!” the little boxy man grumbled. Youtina? What kind of name is Youtina? “Youtina?” You inquire, and both beings direct their gazes at you. The growling stops as you speak the word, leaving you no less menaced. “Do humans have T.I.N.A.'s?” the buzz man pondered. “I’m fairly certain they don’t, I guess, but I’ve never visited them before, so I suppose anything could be possible, though not probable I would guess.” he rambled repetitions absently. “We would never walk their plane" she interrupts. "They’re tasty treats, even if they are just empty, crunchy, calories, but their world is too viscid and smelly.” You can feel the disdain in her voice wrapping around you, cold and wet, sending little goosebumps to your arms and legs as she turns a murky green color. The little man and the giant she-beast woman-thing continue to banter and bicker back and forth, seemingly losing memory of you existing there at all. Just look at you. A nothing, standing there awkwardly, breathing with your mouth open. Part of you wants to feel very indignant about the insulting nature in her tone, but the lump in your throat about being a “tasty crunchy treat” is the only thing you can try and swallow right now. Between the jumbled feelings, the smell of flowers and oranges, and the subsiding panic of being potentially eaten, you muster courage (probably misguided) from within. Or at least you think you do, because you open and close your mouth as if to declare something so profound, so shattering, that the great being would have to halt and realize the error of her ways (the ones in which she intended on eating you, do try and keep up). “Please, great Youtina! Hear my words” you declare, loudly but choked, much like a fish held out of water might look. This freezes both the bickering entities. Maybe it was better to be forgotten, hmm? The little man stares at you baffled for a moment, and then little crinkles appear next to his nonhuman eyes and with a strange sneer he lets out a soft scoffing noise. “What, pray tell, did you just call me?” She is less than amused and an angry reddish light emanates from her body, increasing fast enough to make you squint. This only makes the little man laugh harder. “Yeah, Youtina, you better listen to them” emphasizing the word “Youtina” he wheezes, and his body morphs from a weird brick shape being, to a round bumble bee with limbs akimbo sort of looking thing. He tumbles in the air, not touching the ground, wildly giggling now, despite one of her eyes pointing at him angrily. Her other two eyes are directly focused on you, and it’s not exactly a comforting gaze. “Youtina, is not my name. I am a T.I.N.A.” the words are nonsense as far as you can tell, so you proceed (so human of you). “Please, forgive me, great Atina” you hesitate before you give a half-bow, not really sure what to do with your own limbs. The little man is on the ground rolling around, and he sounds quite broken. Atina looks really pissed. TBC 🍯☕
