Twin Sister VANISHED with Her Dog: 2 Years Later Searching for Jonett & Scooby

In this investigation, the search team travels to West Fargo, North Dakota, to conduct a specialized water search for 50-year-old Jonett. Having gone missing in July 2023, her case has remained a profound mystery for over two years. This search, conducted in October 2025, marks a coordinated effort between civilian searchers and Jonett’s family to explore several high-probability water locations where her vehicle—a 2017 gray Nissan Rogue—might be submerged. WATCH DAY 2 HERE:    • MISSING: She Vanished with Her Dog… 2 Year...   Disappearance and Last Known Movements Jonett vanished in mid-summer of 2023, leaving behind a series of puzzling and concerning clues. On the night she was last seen, she left her home driving her Nissan Rogue, notably leaving her cell phone and purse behind. Most notably, she took her dog, Scooby, with her when she departed. Within the home, investigators discovered evidence of significant emotional distress. This included razor blades found near a bathtub that had been filled with towels and water. Family members also noted that the porch and garage lights had been left on, which was contrary to her usual nighttime routine. Mapping the Routine and Geography To narrow down the search area, the team worked closely with Jonett’s sister and brother-in-law to map her "usual activity radius". Jonett’s daily life was largely centered within a five-mile circle of her home. Frequent Locations: The search area includes high-traffic zones near Cashwise, Walmart, Hornbacher, PetSmart, and Target. Favorite Parks: A significant focus was placed on Linenwood Park, which was known to be Jonett's favorite spot for walks. Behavioral Patterns: Although she owned Scooby, she rarely visited designated dog parks, preferring instead to walk within her subdivision or along established park trails. This information helped the team prioritize neighborhood ponds and river access points within that specific geographic footprint. Neighborhood Swales and Ponds: The team systematically scanned several drainage swales and subdivision ponds. Many were found to be only 2 to 3 feet deep, which effectively ruled them out as potential sites for a submerged SUV. Subdivision Ponds: Larger ponds within the residential area were found to be between 4 and 6 feet deep. While deep enough to hide a vehicle, the sonar scans cleared these locations without finding any anomalies. River and Boat Ramps: The investigation eventually moved to the Red River and nearby boat ramps. Here, the water reached depths of 12 to 17 feet, presenting the most viable locations for a vehicle to remain hidden from view for over two years. Analyzing Potential Targets During the river scan, the team identified a compelling target located near a prominent debris pile and a distinctive "squiggly tree" on the bank. The initial sonar return showed an object that appeared to be resting on its wheels with dimensions consistent with a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The team performed multiple passes using different sonar angles and magnet tests to check for a metallic signature. Final Result: After a thorough review and magnet testing, the object was determined to be a dense collection of river logs and rocks that had settled in a way that mimicked a vehicle’s silhouette. Coordination and Future Efforts Despite the challenges of the terrain and the time elapsed since July 2023, the search remains an active collaboration. Jonett’s sister and brother-in-law remain deeply involved in the planning and execution of these search efforts. The information gathered during this mission has allowed the team to "clear" several high-priority zones, narrowing the remaining search area for future searches.
