Indonesia Buys BrahMos, Astra Air-to-Air Missiles From India | Vantage on Firstpost | 4K

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently visiting Indonesia where he was given a grand welcome by President Prabowo Subianto. As part of the visit, Indonesia has signed deals to purchase the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and the Astra BVR air-to-air missile. According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Jakarta will receive two batteries of the BrahMos and will work with India on the Astra missile. Currently, India is the only country that operates the Astra. With this deal, India has received its first export order for its home-made air-to-air missile. The Astra can be fired from Su-30 MKI and Tejas. Indonesia also operates the Su-30, making it easy for the India to mate the Astra on the jet.
