China has carried out a missile test launch in the Pacific Ocean drawing criticism from countries like Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Beijing says the missile was part of 'routine' military training. As per reports, a JL-3 intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from a Type 094 Jin-Class submarine. The last time China launched a ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean was in September 2024. The missile launch comes on the same day that Australia and Fiji signed a mutual defence agreement. Meanwhile, China and Russia kicked-off a week-long maritime exercise in the Pacific Ocean today.
