Snowmelt in the Mountains | Warm Hike In, Cold Evening by the Fire ❄️

There was a big warm‑up in the mountains this week, and the hike into camp felt completely different from my last trip. Temperatures were close to 60°F by the time I reached the spot, and the snow was melting fast. I returned to the same campsite as last week just to see how much had changed, and the difference was incredible. The mountain views were wide open, and the whole area felt like it was shifting toward spring. Dinner was simple and perfect—tacos and a ginger root beer by the fire. Once the sun went down, the warm day gave way to cold evening air, and the roaring fire made all the difference. It turned into a peaceful night with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the quiet.
